At People’s Injury Network Northwest, we specialize in helping all kinds of workers overcome injuries, return to work sooner and avoid future injuries. We work closely with physicians, nurses, employers, claims managers and vocational counselors toward efficient claims resolution. Our experienced physical and occupational therapists have a reputation for achieving excellent outcomes through a variety of different programs:

Work Conditioning We combine occupational and physical therapy and focus on improving the client’s physical and functional tolerances to meet specific returnto- work goals. Our evaluations document objective physical limitations and identify other factors that may limit the patient’s ability to return to work or meet their therapy goals.

Work Hardening – This contains all the components of work conditioning, yet gradually increases the client’s physical and functional work tolerances for an 8-hour work day. Work simulation is a major component. Our primary focus is appropriate work simulations and activities to get the injured employee back to work safely.

Performance-based Physical Capacity Evaluations – This is objective documentation of a client’s abilities or limitations with validity testing. It may be jobspecific or generic for the 20 physical demands of work. We can perform PCEs for any musculoskeletal injury from spine to upper or lower extremities.

Work Evaluation/Job Modification – This is an extended physical capacity evaluation that tests functional work tolerances for a specific return-to-work goal and allows the client to demonstrate daily work tolerances. It can include several hours of work simulation, physical capacity evaluation, suggestions for job modification, if necessary and return-to-work recommendations.

Ergonomic Assessment – A detailed on-site look at the work environment, work practices and work equipment being used by the client for the specific job. We determine the hazard or risk levels in accordance with the Department of Labor’s ergonomic rules and focus on worker safety and decreasing the potential for injury.

Our physical and occupational therapy, rehab, treatment and management programs are all designed to deliver excellent outcomes. We welcome and encourage your patient referrals. For more information, call 253-395-1131.
